  • Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, sprawling over an area of 47.04 sq.kmuare kilometre, is set deep in the foothills of Himalayas. It is a small a protected area, which was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1988. The sanctuary was established with an aim for the protection and conservation of the broad leaf oak (Quercus) forests, mainly located in the Central Himalayan region.

  • Khali Estate

Khali Estate, sprawling over an area of 26 acres, is set amidst the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. From 1856 to 1884, this beautiful estate was home to the commissioner of Kumaon, Sir Henry Ramsay.  An epitome of natural beauty, tourists visiting the Khali Estate can also enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayan Range. At this estate, sister of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Vijay Laxmi Pandit also resided. Moreover, it is the same place where 'Shailashram' was started by Jamnalal Bajaj of Gandhi-Seva-Trust.

  • Kasar Devi Temple

Kasar Devi Temple, located at a distance of approximately 9 kmilometre from the Binsar, is one of the most popular tourist attractions. Initially, from 1970 to early 80's, the temple was the house for Dutch Monk. According to a legend, it is said that the place was athe house for the hippies, which also set off a Hippie boom in the entire area. However, this temple gained importance and recognition when Swami Vivekanand meditated in this temple in 1820.

  • Bineshwar Mahadev Temple

Bineshwar Mahadev Temple, one of the important sightseeing attractions in Binsar is a temple, which dates back to the 16th century. This temple is believed to be constructed by one of the scions of the Chand Raja Dynasty, King Kalyan Chand. Bineshwar Mahadev temple enshrines the deity of Lord Shiva.
